Dr Donal Kerrin – Practice Principal
A 1974 Trinity College Dublin graduate Dr Kerrin following 4 years in-hospital training in Dublin Ireland has been in General Practice in Queensland since 1979.
Following 10 years solo rural general practice in the Central Highlands Queensland with 10 years Brisbane solo suburban practice Dr Kerrin then spent 11 years in a group general practice at Minyama on the Sunshine Coast.
Over this time Dr Kerrin has developed a special interest in skin cancer primary care, in particular skin cancer imaging, dermoscopy (skin surface microscopy) and high resolution diagnostic skin ultrasound skin cancer dimensions measurement.
A member of SCCA (Skin Cancer College Australasia) and IDS (The International Dermoscopy Society) Dr Kerrin holds certificates in Advanced Clinical Dermoscopy and Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery and the Australian Diploma of Dermatology (Australian Institute of Dermatology)
Dr Kerrin now confines his practice to skin cancer primary care and maintains continuing skin cancer education through involvement in a skin cancer research surgical audit and attendance at University Queensland, SCCA and IDS skin cancer conferences, workshops and on line skin cancer medical education activities.
Dr Kerrin has since Jan 2012 as Skin Surveillance practice principal enjoyed the provision of comprehensive skin cancer primary care within a custom built facility.
